Meet Linda: Media Engineering’s AI-Integrated Holographic Avatar
We are excited to share our recent experience at Maker Faire Rome, a major event dedicated to innovation, creativity, and technology.
Our company, Media Engineering, had the honor of participating in the event thanks to an invitation from the Chamber of Commerce, and we brought with us our latest digital communication technologies
The One-of-a-Kind Atmosphere of Maker Faire
Maker Faire Rome is an event that celebrates creativity, ingenuity, and a passion for innovation. This annual gathering brings together makers, inventors, artists, scientists, and technology enthusiasts from around the world, creating a stimulating environment where new ideas and innovative projects can be discovered. The creative energy and palpable enthusiasm in the air make Maker Faire a unique place to explore and share the latest trends across a wide range of sectors.
At Maker Faire, we proudly presented one of our latest creations: Linda, the holographic avatar integrated with artificial intelligence.
This technology takes the form of a true holographic info point, capable of interacting with the public and answering their questions. What truly makes Linda unique, however, is her advanced artificial intelligence, which allows her to continuously learn and adapt to the needs of visitors.
During the event, we trained Linda to present Rome IGT olive oil, in line with the theme of the pavilion dedicated to agrifood.
Visitors were fascinated by her ability to hold natural conversations and provide detailed information about the local olive oil. It’s important to note, however, that Linda can be trained to talk about virtually any topic, making her an incredibly versatile resource for a wide range of applications
Linda’s presence at Maker Faire generated great enthusiasm among visitors. Many experienced, for the first time, such an advanced interaction with a holographic avatar. This demonstration highlighted Linda’s potential in fields such as education, tourism, customer service, and much more—the possibilities are virtually limitless.
Media Engineering once again demonstrated its position at the forefront of digital communication, bringing innovation and creativity into the spotlight.
Maker Faire proved to be an extraordinary opportunity to share our technologies and show how they can enhance everyday life
Conclusions
The enthusiasm generated by Linda was so strong that even Tg1 decided to feature us in their media coverage of the event.
This visibility represented further recognition of the revolutionary potential of Linda and the technologies developed by Media Engineering. It is an honor to see our innovations take center stage and inspire technology and innovation enthusiasts
