A new conversational training model, created to combine technology, interaction and scientific rigor.
A new idea of training
At the 42nd SIMG Congress in Florence we presented A.N.N.A., a project developed together with Alfasigma Italia with a clear goal: to turn medical training from abstract theory into concrete experience.
A.N.N.A. isn't a simple tool or a quiz: it's a conversational trainer based on artificial intelligence that realistically simulates an interaction between doctor and patient. Through a voice and visual interface, it lets you live a complete clinical scenario, from history taking to diagnosis, passing through tests and consultations.
Natural conversation, rigorous content
The heart of A.N.N.A. is a high-fidelity AI conversation. Professionals interact in natural language with a virtual patient, guiding the entire diagnostic path: history taking, physical examination, interpretation of tests and requests for consultations.
The experience is made even more immersive by an intuitive visual interface, which accompanies each phase with dynamic and coherent support.
The content is scientifically validated, but it doesn't stop at knowledge: it also trains communication, time management and clinical decision-making.
A real experience, in just a few minutes
During the 42nd SIMG Congress, dozens of doctors were able to test A.N.N.A. first-hand. The response? Extremely positive: they particularly appreciated the naturalness of the interaction, the scientific quality and the fidelity of the simulation.
The real strength of the project, however, lies in its versatility: it can be adapted to different training contexts, enriched with tailor-made scenarios and used as support in CME paths or in the classroom.
A new approach to training
A.N.N.A. isn't content to watch: it's an AI experience to live.
A concrete example of how technology can truly improve learning, offering a training tool that is more effective, engaging and closer to the reality of everyday work.
Update: May 2026
When we published this article, A.N.N.A. was a project we were proud of. Today we can say the whole sector is too.
On May 20, 2026, at the AboutPharma Digital Awards, A.N.N.A. won in the "Artificial Intelligence for Communication, Education and Training" category, the first Italian institutional recognition awarded to an AI avatar project in the pharma sector.
It isn't just an award. It's confirmation that AI-based medical training is no longer experimentation: it's an emerging standard. And that building with rigor, native compliance, real data and measurable KPIs makes the difference.
