Media Engineering’s contribution on AI, training, and immersive environments for Pharma
On September 26, Media Engineering took part in the Digital Insight Lab, an event promoted by AboutPharma to explore the digital evolution of the Life Sciences sector. It was an important opportunity to discuss how Artificial Intelligence and immersive technologies are reshaping models of communication, training, and interaction in healthcare and pharma
During the event, our CEO Antonio Franzese delivered a talk in dialogue with Linda, our AI avatar, sharing with the audience the results of several already active projects and the opportunities AI can unlock for pharmaceutical companies, CROs, healthcare organizations, and patient associations.
The solutions presented: conversational AI, virtual agents, and immersive environments
In his presentation, Antonio showed how conversational AI can be used to create intelligent agents capable of interacting with healthcare professionals, patients, and stakeholders in a natural, reliable, and personalized way. These tools are increasingly in demand to:
- manage automated interactions along the patient journey,
- support scientific information processes,
- enhance engagement and retention in training activities,
- simplify access to internal content and tools for physicians and staff.
Completing the picture, we also presented our experience with immersive environments used in medical education, device training, and institutional communication: interactive digital spaces designed to improve understanding and participation, even in complex contexts
A stimulating and constructive exchange
Our talk generated strong interest, leading to numerous requests for further discussion from participants. However, the true value of the event lay in the exchange itself: speakers and attendees shared experiences, projects, and highly relevant insights, contributing to a concrete and grounded discussion on how to bring real innovation into pharma—without hype or unrealistic promises.
